COVID Updates: We are limiting the number of people entering the hospital. All visitors must be escorted into the building by a staff member. Please text us upon arrival. Our exam rooms are limited to 2 pet owners at a time and we are utilizing curbside care for many services. We ask for your patience as we strive to keep you, your pets and our staff safe and healthy.

Pet of the Month – Maylita

Pet of the month -

Maylita-ovary Maylita-kidneyMaylita is a guide dog in training for Guide Dogs for the Blind. She recently underwent a laparoscopic ovariectomy or “lap spay” here at Parkway and did great. A lap spay is less invasive than the traditional spay procedure. It involves making two small incisions in the abdominal wall and using a small camera and instrument port to remove the ovaries. A few benefits of a lap spay include less pain and tissue trauma, minimal to no bleeding, and better visualization of the ovaries and internal structures. Patients that undergo this procedure are also able to go home the same day! Congratulations Maylita on being this month’s Pet of the Month.

Update To Our COVID Protocols

We continue to monitor COVID-19 and the best way to keep everyone safe and healthy.  Due to the Omicron variant and increased number of cases our local community is experiencing, we will close our lobby and return to 100% curbside care effective immediately. Our industry is experiencing unprecedented staffing shortages and the need to preserve our staffing levels has influenced this decision. We will continue to monitor the progress of COVID and adjust our protocols accordingly. We are ready to care for your pet and ensure extra snuggles and TLC during their visit.

Please text us when you arrive for your appointment – the number is on our building and signs.
