Animal Care Group of Lake Oswego (ACGLO) is a 9,000 square foot veterinary facility that includes AAHA-accredited practices in GP, boarding, and grooming and specialized services in cardiology, surgery, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, mobile and hospice care and emergency services.
We have one FT position for an overnight technician in our emergency department. Shifts include Tue, Wed, Th, Fr 10pm to 8am. We offer Full benefits that include Health, Dental, PTO, CE, Uniforms, Life/Disability, 401K, Pet Care and differential pay. This position may sometimes need to transport patients. Valid driver’s license is required. Technicians are vital members of the medical team and at Lake Oswego Veterinary Emergency; your skills will be fully utilized. Primary responsibilities include providing a high standard of emergency nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending DVM’s instructions, maintaining a clean and sterile work environment, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, performing in-house lab work, calculating dosages and administering medications, assisting during euthanasia and providing aftercare for deceased patients, ensuring the hospital is stocked appropriately, and providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
